Job summary

Maguire is seeking a Field Maintenance/Repair Welder to perform on-site welding and fabrication of elevated water towers. The role requires extensive travel, adaptability to different work environments, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

The position involves reading blueprints, rigging, and adhering to all safety programs while working in challenging outdoor conditions. 75‑lb lifting and heights to 200 feet may be involved in field assignments.

Qualifications

• Formal apprenticeship or welding degree preferred.
• 3 years welding experience preferred or combination of schooling and experience.
• Must pass a company weld test (SMAW required).
• Ability to travel frequently (out months at a time and multi-state assignments).
• Minimum age of 21 for driving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site welding and fabrication of elevated water towers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
• Operate and understand rigging procedures and document equipment daily.
• Monitor welding, burning, and fitting to prevent warping or distortion.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
