Qualifications

• Requires completion of a formal apprenticeship or in-house three-year training program.
• Must pass a company weld test.
• Strong understanding of welding machines, tools, maintenance and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret designs, plans, drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan details of work orders and gather required tools and materials as instructed.
• Weld, cut, and braze metal pieces for construction and erection of water towers/tanks.
• Monitor welding and fitting to prevent overheating, distortion, or damage.
• Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work area; report faulty equipment or materials.
