Job summary

Matheson is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in PRESQUE ISLE to sell welding products to businesses and individuals. You will engage customers, present demonstrations, and close orders while building lasting relationships in the local market.

The role is full-time, requires travel within the territory, and involves coordinating customer training and inquiries. A welding-related education and experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Welding Technology or related field required.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Compile lists of prospective customers for sales leads.
• Travel throughout territory to call on customers and solicit orders.
• Demonstrate products using samples or catalogs and emphasize features.
• Quote prices and terms; prepare sales contracts.
• Coordinate customer training and provide product support.
• Enter new customer data into the database and maintain records.
• Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
• Attend trade shows and assist inside sales when needed.
