Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Wastewater Treatment System Operator to join our Field Technical Solutions team in East Chicago, IN. The role is 100% in the field at client sites, providing operations, maintenance, and monitoring for groundwater extraction and treatment systems.

You will work independently after training and may require occasional overtime, weekends, or evenings. The successful candidate will inspect facilities for permit compliance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, collect

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ relevant experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical controls for treatment systems preferred.
• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clear driving record.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and document routine checks for facility permit compliance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and controls on equipment such as pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
• Collect data from gauges and meters and enter into digital forms.
• Operate, monitor, and optimize treatment system performance.
• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities.
• Field implement and troubleshoot instrumentation and controls systems.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for field projects and repairs.
