Job summary

Eocene Environmental Group of the West, Inc. is seeking a Vegetation Program Lead for a temporary position lasting approximately 4 to 6–8 months in California. You will lead vegetation management operations, coordinate field teams, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while working outdoors. Candidates should have a degree or relevant experience in Forestry, Arboriculture, or Environmental Science and possess strong communication skills.

The role requires problem-solving abilities and a clean driving record. This position includes travel, with per diem and lodging provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Experience with emergency response or hazard tree removal (preferred).
• ISA Certified Arborist (preferred).
• Comfortable working in rugged terrain and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead vegetation management operations and contractor performance.
• Coordinate and support vegetation management activities.
• Assist with customer interactions and support agency meetings.
• Ensure on-site safety practices are followed.
