Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Class C driver’s license is required.
• One year experience as a VMI or equivalent on a utility contract.
• ISA Certified Arborist is preferred.
• 2-year or 4-year college degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to identify local trees and knowledge of growth rates.
• Ability to learn and use company- or job-specific software systems.
• Ability to work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Ability to read and follow maps.

Responsibilities

• Patrols of circuits and prescribe work to PG&E's tree contractor to maintain one-year clearances.
• Identify and document required tree work along PG&E rights-of-way.
• Notify property owners and obtain required authorizations for tree work.
• Act as VM contact for new business and reconstruction work.
• Perform work verification inspections for accuracy and quality.
• Assist in emergency response as directed by operations.
