Job summary

BTI Solutions is seeking a Development Resident Engineer to validate and develop basic market-specific features. The role serves as the local representative of the supplier HQ, supporting customer development and validation teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customer engineering teams, understanding wireless technologies for testing, and resolving issues at the customer site. ~80% field testing with travel up to 20%, and frequent reporting to HQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Requires strong driving skill and test-vehicle maintenance experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including out of state and holidays if urgent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customer local engineering teams on product status.
• Understand wireless network technologies (GSM/LTE/5G NR) for testing.
• Perform field testing and data logging as needed.
• Create and verify issue tickets; deliver test reports daily and weekly.
• Act as interface between customer engineering and internal teams on vehicle configurations.
• Support supply and updates of system components and participate in joint customer testing.
