Job summary

City of Bowling Green is seeking a Field Utility Locator in the Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection Division. This full-time, hourly position involves locating and marking water and sewer assets and updating the city GIS, while communicating with city officials, contractors and the public.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years of relevant experience, and a valid Ohio driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Locate water and sewer assets and mark their locations.
• Communicate with foremen, inspectors, GIS personnel, and contractors.
• Use location and inspection equipment, GPS, and field data collection systems.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and work alone in all weather conditions.
• Maintain and update City GIS with new assets.
