Job summary

USIC is seeking outdoor, safety‑mocused locators for full‑time field work in Midland, TX. You will locate underground utilities, mark locations, and document each locate while working with a company vehicle and tools provided.

We offer extensive paid training, a strong benefits package, and opportunities for advancement. Must be able to work daytime shifts, overtime, weekends, and on‑call as needed.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring.
• Able to read locate tickets and maps.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities (telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer) safely and efficiently.
• Thoroughly search designated areas, accurately mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
