Job summary

HNTB seeks an experienced Utility Locator / Signal Technician to support current and future GDOT locate requests around Gainesville, GA. You will identify and mark GDOT-owned underground infrastructure and document field activities, with occasional signal maintenance support.

Based in Gainesville, GA, you’ll work independently in the field using electronic locating equipment. The role requires field readiness in all weather, strong organizational skills, and the ability to review locate requests

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 6 years construction experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document work to ensure conformance with plans.
• Perform measurements and calculations per project.
• Maintain daily inspectors' reports.
• Conduct on-site material testing.
• Support GDOT signals maintenance as needed.
