Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground, promoting damage prevention in your community. We will train you on the job and equip you with basic skills to be successful in our 100% paid training.

What you’ll need is a preference to work outdoors in all weather, a desire to work independently and an ability to problem solve with speed and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Carry up to 5 lbs of equipment; lift up to 25 lbs or 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Read maps, interpret blueprints, determine best locating sequence.
• Use locating equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
