Job summary

UCLA seeks a K-12 Education Specialist to support the NExT Step field trip program and related activities. You will help coordinate field trips, guide nature walks and classroom activities, and perform administrative tasks.

You will schedule facilitators, manage the booking calendar, and communicate with teachers and administrators. The role requires organization, outdoor readiness, and experience with youth groups.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills (written and verbal).
• Availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
• Knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Proficiency in writing, editing and proofreading varying types of English text.
• Knowledge of pedagogy and best practices in environmental education (preferred).
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to walk on trails, lift up to 50 pounds, and work outside.

Responsibilities

• Support coordination and facilitation of the NExT Step field trip program.
• Assist with scheduling field trip facilitators and maintaining the booking calendar.
• Communicate with teachers and administrators regarding logistics.
• Prepare supplies for field trips and manage inventory.
