Job summary

ETM Inc. is seeking an MEI Inspector to perform field inspections of roadway, bridge, drainage, and other transportation maintenance activities in the Tampa area.

You will monitor contractor work for compliance with contract requirements and safety standards, maintain daily records, and document quantities for payment verification. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of inspection experience, FDOT MAC/BlueBeam/Hummingbird/Site Manager familiarity, CTQP certifications in multiple areas, and

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of inspection experience on maintenance contracts or permit inspection.
• Understanding of FDOT construction project administration including MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird and Site Manager.
• CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts.
• FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).
• Nuclear Radiation Safety training.
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training/Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of roadway, bridge, drainage, roadside, and other transportation maintenance activities.
• Monitor contractor operations for compliance with contract requirements, specs, plans, procedures, and safety rules.
• Maintain accurate daily inspection records including personnel, equipment, locations, and events.
• Measure and document quantities of completed work for records and contractor payment verification.
• Identify and report deficient work to senior inspection or project management personnel.
• Coordinate day-to-day inspection activities with contractor representatives and project staff.
• Observe MOT operations and report safety or deficiency concerns.
• Take photographs and maintain supporting field documentation.
• Perform follow-up inspections to verify completion of corrective work.
