The Field Trainer at MP Management #3, LLC is responsible for driving training excellence, operational consistency, and franchisee success across the Marco’s Pizza system. This highly field-focused role partners with Franchisees, Area Representatives, Operations Leaders, Certified Training Stores, and restaurant leadership to support training programs and new store openings.

This position requires extensive travel (about 70%), including overnight trips, to support franchisees and training

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of three years of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, or franchise operations.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in training, coaching, facilitation, or field operations support.
  • Strong training facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence teams to follow standards.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training programs to franchisees, operators, General Managers, restaurant leaders, and team members using classroom, virtual, and hands-on training methods.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions with Certified Training Store leadership to ensure consistent, high-quality training experiences.
  • Coach and mentor Certified Training Stores, Brand Ambassadors, franchisees, operators, and restaurant leadership teams.
  • Conduct field visits, pop-up visits, and calibration assessments to evaluate trainee progress and training quality.
  • Support trainees during the Operational Excellence Lab, including ongoing communication and progress reviews.
  • Conduct announced and unannounced Certified Training Store evaluations, certifications, and recertifications.
  • Lead training support for new restaurant openings, including activities before, during, and following grand openings.
  • Provide full-store training for new restaurant teams, potentially up to 50 team members.
  • Partner with franchisees and Operations Leaders to reinforce operational systems, food safety, labor management, guest experience, and brand standards.
  • Support development and continuous improvement of training curriculum, materials, job aids, and certification requirements.
  • Assist with classroom and field-based training programs to support business needs, scheduling, and coverage.
  • Maintain accurate trainee records, certifications, and training reports.
  • Support implementation of new programs, systems, processes, and operational initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve training effectiveness and franchisee success.

Description

Position Summary:


The Field Trainer is responsible for driving training excellence, operational consistency, and franchisee success throughout the Marco’s Pizza system. This role partners with Franchisees, Area Representatives, Operations Leaders, Certified Training Stores, and restaurant leadership teams to support training programs, Operational Excellence Lab experiences, new store openings, and ongoing operational development.


The Field Trainer serves as a key connection between Training and Field Operations, providing hands‑on training, coaching, certification oversight, operational assessments, and leadership development.


This is a highly field‑focused position requiring approximately 70% travel, including frequent overnight travel, to support franchisees, Certified Training Stores, new restaurant openings, and training initiatives throughout the United States.

  • Conduct operational and training assessments and provide actionable feedback and recommendations for improvement.

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of training curriculum, materials, job aids, and certification requirements.

  • Assist with classroom and field‑based training programs as needed to support business needs, scheduling, and training coverage.

  • Maintain accurate trainee records, certifications, Certified Training Store documentation, and training reports.

  • Support implementation of new programs, systems, processes, and operational initiatives.

  • Participate in cross‑functional projects focused on improving training effectiveness, operational performance, and franchisee success.


Qualifications:


Required:



  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience in restaurant, retail, hospitality, or franchise operations.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in training, coaching, facilitation, leadership development, or field operations support.

  • Strong training facilitation, presentation, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence individuals and teams to follow established operational standards and processes.

  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.

  • Ability to travel approximately 70% of the time, including frequent overnight and occasional weekend travel based on business needs.


Preferred:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Organizational Development, Adult Education, or a related field.

  • Restaurant leadership experience at the General Manager level or above.

  • Experience working within a franchise restaurant system.

  • Marco’s Pizza restaurant or operational leadership experience.

  • Experience supporting new restaurant openings.

  • Corporate training, Learning & Development, or field training experience.

  • ServeSafe Certification.

  • Formal training or certification in facilitation, instructional design, or adult learning.
