Responsibilities

  • Inspect railroad track structures for compliance with policy and regulations.
  • Detect deviations from federal/state regulations and implement remedies.
  • Repair or direct crews to repair defects in track structure.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance with regulations.
  • Prepare inspection reports for management and government compliance.
  • Perform inspections during severe weather or other events affecting railroad safety.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned to ensure efficient railroad operation.
