Job summary

Vylor, based in York, Nebraska, is seeking a Field Testing Specialist to join our agriculture research team. You will support field operations, seed filling, data collection, and plot management across multi-crop trials.

You will operate planting, harvesting, and sensing equipment, apply agronomy knowledge, and help plan experiments while supervising part-time crews. This on-site role requires attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Associate degree in agriculture or related field with 2–4 years industry experience.
  • Knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and plot design.
  • Strong attention to detail in fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to interact with diverse groups.
  • Experience with computers and data management.
  • Experience operating planting and harvest equipment including GPS and data collection systems.
  • Leadership, safety, supervision, and time management skills.
  • Able to work in varying conditions and obtain pesticide applicator license.
  • Valid drivers license.

Vylor has an exciting opportunity for a Field Testing Specialist based in York, Nebraska. The Field Testing Specialist position will serve as an integral team member of a comprehensive research station providing support for all station operations. The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience about the agriculture industry and a high aptitude for attention to detail

What You Need:
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in agriculture or scientific related field plus 2-4 years industry related experience.
  • Keen knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and experimental field plot design.
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication/personal interaction skills to foster teamwork, enhance a positive work environment, and effectively develop strong internal and external working relationships with a diverse group of people.
  • Experience and skills with computers and data management.
  • Experience operating planting and harvest equipment including electronics, GPS systems and data collection systems.
  • Demonstrate skills in leadership, operational safety, supervision, and time management.
  • Must be capable of working in varying ergonomic and environmental conditions for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to obtain appropriate pesticide applicator license/certification.
  • Valid drivers license required
