Job summary

Sage Ag Inc. is seeking hardworking, self-motivated individuals who are passionate about production agriculture and machinery.

Based out of Slater, Iowa, you will work in an experimental field test environment, traveling 95% of the time across the Midwest to test and monitor real-time soil testing sensors and tillage equipment. You will collaborate with engineers, technicians and customers to gather data, report issues and perform software updates while staying aligned with project goals.

Qualifications

• 250 hours of agricultural machinery operation (minimum).
• GPA 2.5 in an agricultural major; AST or Ag Engineering preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with strong knowledge of precision agriculture equipment.
• Willing to travel for six weeks or more at a time.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with clean record.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; works well in teams or alone.

Responsibilities

Job description

Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, & detailed oriented individuals who are passionate about production agriculture & machinery. Through this position, you will be working with an agricultural technology company in an experimental field test environment. This position is 95% travel throughout the Midwest and requires extensive periods away from home. You will be working independently and as a team with engineers, technicians, & customers, on the cutting edge of agricultural technology. In this exciting position, you will be working with a team to test and monitor operations of real-time soil testing sensors performing tillage work.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor operation of sensors and tillage tools
• Reporting machine issues directly to design engineers
• Gathering critical machine information, crop condition and test data
• Gathering data and uploading data to software engineers
• Performing frequent software updates

Requirements:

• Minimum of 250 hours of agricultural machinery operation
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 in an agricultural major; preferably AST or Ag Engineering
• Mechanically inclined
• Strong knowledge of precision agriculture equipment
• Strong technology and computer troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Willing to travel for six weeks or more at a time
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License w/ clean driving record
• Out-going
• Positive attitude
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a team environment & alone
• Ability to work long hours, some night operation will be necessary
• Ability to keep accurate & detailed records of work performed

Details:

Job Duration: September 1, 2026 - November 30, 2026 (opportunity for full-time may be available)

Location: Based out of Slater, Iowa - traveling throughout the Midwest region

Compensation: Salary Range $60,000-$70,000/ yearly. All travel expenses paid by Sage Ag Inc.
