Job summary

Liberty Puerto Rico is seeking a Line Technician to maintain system levels and replace trunk amplifiers. You will diagnose and service node equipment, perform field tests, and work with contractors to ensure project completion.

The role requires 1–2 years of CATV/telecom experience, SCTE certification, and bilingual Spanish/English communication. A valid driver’s license and electrical certification are also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate degree in electronics preferred.
• 1–2 years proven CATV/telecom technical experience.
• SCTE Certification required or preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Valid driver’s license (Cat. 5) and electrical certification.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain system levels and replace amplifiers in the field.
• Install, repair, and stabilize nodes daily; perform tests (signal/noise, sweep).
• Operate and test test equipment (OTDR, power meter, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
• Coordinate with contractors; prepare BOMs and job cost estimates.
• Ensure safety and compliance with NEC, OSHA, and FCC regulations.
• Drive company vehicles and maintain inventory; assist in outages as needed.
