Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technology Specialist to support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer, network, and electronic physical security systems. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal performance of low voltage infrastructure, security devices, and associated technologies across multiple project environments. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced, field‑driven setting with shifting priorities.

In this role, you will install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems supporting physical security and IT infrastructure, including cameras, access control devices, power supplies, biometric systems, and locking hardware. You will work with video and data cabling, assemble and deploy hardware using standard hand and power tools, and ensure all equipment is installed according to design specifications and technical drawings. You will evaluate system performance, provide quality assurance feedback, and support system hardening and configuration of Windows‑based environments.

You will also be responsible for coordinating materials and equipment needed for project execution, managing receipt and tracking of hardware, and ensuring timely delivery of project deliverables. Success in this role requires strong problem‑solving ability, solid communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality work that meets customer expectations.

Qualified candidates typically have at least three years of experience in low voltage installation, security systems, or IT hardware deployment, with a strong understanding of IP‑based systems and networking fundamentals. Experience installing and maintaining video surveillance systems and troubleshooting low voltage infrastructure is highly desired. Familiarity with design plans, schematics, and basic electrical theory is essential, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and CAD drawings.

You should be comfortable working in diverse environments, both indoors and outdoors, and able to handle physical demands such as climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working at heights. Travel of up to 85 percent may be required depending on project needs. A valid driver’s license is required, and industry certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, BICSI, or similar are a plus.

This position is ideal for a self‑starter who takes pride in workmanship, adapts quickly to change, and is committed to delivering reliable, high‑performance systems in support of mission‑critical operations.

Additionally, the role requires the ability to obtain and maintain government‑issued security clearances, a valid driver’s license, and a readiness to travel approximately 85% of the time.
