Job Title: Field Technician for Grain Management Systems

Work Location: IL, MN, WI

Duration: 6 months with possible full-time conversion

Education/Experience Required: Entry Level, Tech School graduate

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for grain management systems, including truck scale automation, rail load-out, and related hardware/software.
  • Use support ticketing systems like Zoho Desk to document requests and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and improve support processes.
  • Assist in maintaining network systems, including LAN and firewall configurations, for grain management software operations.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to users and provide remote assistance when needed.
  • Travel to customer sites for on-site troubleshooting and installations.
  • Participate in a support team to handle calls related to software and hardware at grain elevators, ethanol plants, and other facilities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in technical support within IT, preferably with grain management or similar industries.
  • Knowledge of network systems, electrical wiring, IT infrastructure, and grain management software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with support ticketing systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills related to grain storage and handling systems.
