Job summary

TransCore is seeking a full-time Field Technician to support toll system maintenance in the Greater Pittsburgh area. The role requires PA licensing, basic IT skills, and the ability to handle electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will work on-site, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot a range of equipment with a rotating 24/7 schedule. A background in electronics and strong safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

PA driver's license with clean driving record is required.
Basic computer skills including MS Word and Excel required.
Ability to diagnose system problems with a volt meter; capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
Ability to maneuver in tight spaces, underground and via bucket truck.
Adherence to mandated safety procedures.
Strong communication with customers.
Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
Fundamental electrical/mechanical knowledge.
24/7 rotating swing shift.

Responsibilities

Toll system maintenance for the PA Turnpike Commission.
Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment including load cells, loop detectors, lane controllers/LPUs, printers, power supplies, video surveillance, and network components.
Operate company vehicle with restrictions on personal use.
Respond to service requests and ensure equipment reliability.
