Job summary

Elmington Construction is seeking a Construction Safety Support professional to join our field team in Raleigh. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and removing temporary and permanent safety systems, while supporting site operations and housekeeping.

You will work with hand and power tools, operate equipment such as telehandlers and forklifts as trained, and help ensure OSHA-compliant safety practices across multifamily projects.

Qualifications

• Experience on job sites with safety controls and PPE.
• Proficient with hand tools and basic power tools.
• Ability to operate or learn telehandlers, forklifts, and skid loaders.
• Capable of minor carpentry repairs and touch-ups.
• Familiar with multifamily construction environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain wood-framed safety systems on site.
• Modify and repair safety installations as projects progress.
• Remove temporary safety systems when no longer required.
• Set up and take down barricades, signage, and controls.
• Support punch-list items and quality improvements.
• Keep tools and work areas safe and organized.
• Assist with site housekeeping and debris removal.
• Assist with exterior work and site clean-up as needed.
