Job summary

PROPWR is seeking a Field Technician - Recip Operator to operate and maintain gas reciprocating engine packages used in power generation. You will monitor equipment, respond to performance abnormalities, and coordinate with the Remote Operations Center for repairs.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year in gas turbine operations or electrical work, with experience on gas engines, and a strong focus on safety and proper PPE usage. This role may involve day and night shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of gas turbine operations or electrical experience.
• Experience with gas reciprocating engine packages preferred.
• CAT gas engine experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operation of gas reciprocating engine packages and related equipment.
• Monitor control panels, gauges, and instruments to maintain optimal performance.
• Coordinate with Remote Operations Center for fault-finding and troubleshooting.
• Assess equipment readiness after shutdown events and assist with readiness of turbines and related gear.
• Maintain logs and records of operations and maintenance activities.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts on equipment and interfaces.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of power generation assets.
• Perform visual inspections and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
