Job summary

Aggreko in Benicia, CA is seeking a Technician 1 – Multiskilled to maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair power generation and HVAC equipment. Based at the Benicia service center, you will support customer sites with local travel in a company vehicle.

This field-focused role requires hands-on experience with power generation, HVAC, electrical systems, and related gear. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and participate in an on-call rotation about every five weeks, with

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain certifications for customer sites.
Experience with power generation, HVAC, chillers, or related technical field.
Willing to travel locally and occasionally overnight.
On-call rotation approximately every five weeks.

Responsibilities

Based at the Benicia, CA service center and travel to customer locations in a company vehicle.
Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on power generators, diesel and natural gas engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, chillers, and related temperature control equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment failures at customer locations and at the service center.
Read schematics and use mechanical and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot safely.
Support equipment maintenance at the Benicia service center when not at customer sites.
