Job summary

O'Day Equipment is seeking Field Technicians to service fueling equipment in the petroleum industry. This role will be based in Minot, ND, with travel across the upper Midwest.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, upgrade, install, and repair equipment for our customers, gaining certifications through on-the-job training. Ideal candidates are detail oriented with strong mechanical and technical aptitude, a solid work ethic, and a desire for a lasting career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• On-the-job training provided; certifications will be earned during training.
• Must be able to attend and pass required certifications for the job.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Windshield time with occasional overnights.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install petroleum equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, configure, and install equipment and software for customers.
• Provide complete and accurate descriptions of all work for invoicing and inventory control.
• Maintain strong internal and external customer service and communication.
• Pursue vendor training, safety training, and product updates.

We are a family-owned business and we are looking for Field Technicians to service the petroleum industry. This position would handle troubleshooting, diagnosing, upgrading, installing and repairing fueling equipment for the majority of the upper Midwest.

This Job would be out of Minot, ND.

Position Summary:

Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment in the petroleum industry.

• Accountable for diagnosing, repairing, configuring, and installing equipment and software sold by O’Day Equipment or requested by customers.
• Provides complete and accurate description of all work performed for invoicing and inventory control
• Good internal and external customer service and communication
• Continuous learning through vendor training, monthly safety training, new products and product updates

Position Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Valid driver's license
• Petroleum experience a plus, but not required
• Strong judgement and decision making skills
• High level of self-accountability
• Both mechanical and basic electronics skills preferred

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Will provide on the job training
• Must be able to attend and pass required certifications for job.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical Activity – frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motion
• Heavy Work – exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 50lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20lbs for force constantly to move objects
• Visual Acuity – required to have close visual acuity to perform duties such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, machine operation, using measurement devices, operate machines, perform mechanical work, operate motor vehicles
• Working Conditions – subject to both environmental conditions – activities occur inside and outside
