Job summary

PAPE’ MACHINERY, INC. – CONSTRUCTION & FORESTRY DIVISION – KENT, WA is seeking a Field Technician/Mechanic to service construction and forestry equipment at customer sites.

You will diagnose and repair engines and systems, travel in a fully equipped service vehicle, and interact with customers to uphold uptime. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of heavy diesel experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently with strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel equipment across brands.
• Basic computer knowledge for diagnostics and service reports.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong customer communication and relations skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair construction and forestry equipment at customer sites.
• Travel in a fully equipped service vehicle to job locations.
• Interact with customers and ensure uptime and up-to-date service.
• Provide thorough workmanship and accurate service documentation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Field Technician / Mechanic, you will work on construction and forestryequipment at customer locations to ensure that their equipment is running inpeak form and maximizing uptime. Being a journeyman, we will count on you when atough job needs to get done. Every day, picture yourself traveling the area in afully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, performing top-notch work on equipment,interacting with customers, and knowing that they can count on you to get thejob done right.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing all brands of heavydiesel equipment
• Basic computer knowledge
• Self-motivation and
• Ability to work under little or no supervision
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills
• Driver’s license with a good driving record
• Must provide own tools

COMPENSATION:

$24.94-36.16/HR (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)
