The Field Technician – Level 1 (Fiber Splicer) is a full-time, on-site role based in Buffalo, NY. In this position, the technician supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic and telecommunications equipment at customer and network locations. Daily responsibilities may include assisting with cable routing, fusion splicing, terminations, and testing; using basic hand and power tools; and documenting work performed in field reports. The role also involves following safety procedures, responding to service tickets under supervision, and interacting professionally with customers and team members. The Field Technician – Level 1 works closely with senior technicians to learn standards, processes, and best practices in the field. On the job training provided for the right candidates.
