Job summary

TTI Environmental, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician for the Industrial Hygiene Division in New Jersey. The role involves fieldwork, on-site assessments, and technical evaluations, with hybrid work combining field days and occasional visits to the Moorestown office.

The candidate should have asbestos-related credentials preferred, strong communication, and ability to operate various monitoring equipment; NJ certification is a plus and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Current EPA/AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector accreditation preferred
• Lead licenses preferred
• Knowledge of general building mechanical systems and building construction
• High School or Mechanical/Trade School Diploma
• Associate or B.S. in Environmental Science preferred
• Exhibit clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
• General computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Independent thinking and self-motivation are essential

Responsibilities

• Inspection and on-site monitoring for asbestos, mold, lead paint, and indoor air quality
• Conduct detailed surveys for asbestos, lead based paint, right to know, and mold
• Perform air monitoring and contractor oversight during asbestos abatement projects
• Maintain, operate, and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment
• Technical report writing and interpretation of analytical data
• Timeliness, time management, ability to meet deadlines, and responsiveness to emergencies is vital
• Assignments are of varying complexity and under direction of a project manager
