Job Title: Field Technician II

Job Summary:

The Field Technician II will inspect, test, and maintain High, Medium, and Low electrical power equipment, working with various electrical components and implementing safety policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform entry-level testing of electrical power equipment independently while collaborating with Senior Technicians.
  • Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel for troubleshooting and equipment optimization.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on testing, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with voltage verification, contact resistance, insulation resistance, test equipment setup, reading one-line drawings, understanding electrical hazards, and practical electrical theory.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or military experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years relevant industry experience.
  • NETA II Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs.
