Job Summary

The Field Technician II will inspect, test, and maintain High, Medium, and Low electrical power equipment, working with equipment like SF6 & vacuum circuit breakers, transformers, grounding, and switches, while implementing safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level testing independently, with support from senior technicians.
• Use manuals, schematics, and engineering input to troubleshoot and optimize equipment.
• Document tests, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Willing to work overtime and travel.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.

Preferred Skills/Abilities

• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with voltage verification, insulation resistance, test setup, reading schematics, and electrical hazards.

Education & Experience

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology or military experience preferred.
• 2-4 years relevant industry experience.
• NETA II Certification.

Physical Requirements

• Climb ladders, stand for long periods, lift 70 lbs.
