Job summary

Intelligent Wellhead Systems (IWS) is seeking a full-time Field Technician to install, train and troubleshoot IWS control and data systems at customer sites in New Mexico and surrounding areas.

The role involves hands-on electrical, mechanical and software setup, on-site customer interaction, and remote field support. Local travel to Carlsbad, Jal, Midland area is expected, with reporting responsibilities and data handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an oil and gas well completion related service line.
• Experience in field-based operations, general maintenance tasks, wellsite knowledge and awareness.
• Ability to work away from home.
• Strong computer skills with familiarity with Microsoft based products.
• The ability to provide detailed and complete reports in an efficient manner.
• Effective oral, written, and social communication skills.
• An interest in current/emerging technologies helping to achieve organizational goals and targets.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers daily through in-person, verbal and written interactions, written reports, and basic field interaction.
• Installation and setup of electrical hardware, mechanical hardware, and software at customer sites.
• Configure network devices related to the inVision™ systems and components with training.
• Train customers and/or third-party service companies’ personnel to use IWS equipment properly.
• Generate field reports, gather data, and perform light data analysis.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all electronic, electrical, and computer-based equipment with training.
• Rig-up/rig-out equipment, inspection, maintenance, and organization of differing type of equipment.
• Hands on and remote field support of customers and third-party services on customer sites.
• Work independently to self-dispatch to remote locations.
