Job summary

SGS is seeking a Field Technician to collect samples and observe products or materials for laboratory analysis at our sites in the United States. The role involves performing sample preparation, labeling, and timely delivery of specimens to the lab, with attention to safety and procedural compliance.

Day shift with potential overtime. High School or equivalent is required. Some roles may require additional certifications such as MSHA, TWIC, or a driver’s license depending on duties and location.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• No experience required unless required by state law.
• May be required to obtain MSHA certificate or TWIC.

Responsibilities

• Collects samples as product and/or raw materials at different locations.
• Delivers samples to laboratory for analysis.
• Performs preparation of samples and division into appropriate sizes.
• Ensures PPE is worn at all times and safety procedures followed.
• Keeps equipment and containers organized and clean before and after use.
