Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services is hiring a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related media. You will travel to customer sites, collect and test samples, and maintain proper documentation in a safety-conscious environment.

Your role includes preparing field equipment, maintaining logs, and assisting with program reviews while ensuring compliance with regulations. A high school diploma and prior lab or environmental experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues.
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; elevate issues when needed.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
• Promote Pace Analytical’s mission through professional, courteous, and cooperative interactions with customers and coworkers.
