Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC in Englewood, OH is seeking a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related media. You will travel to customer sites, collect and test samples, and help maintain logs and equipment.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, willingness to travel with some overnight stays, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in related work preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• The ability to travel with some overnight stays.
• Must be comfortable operating a company vehicle equipped with GPS/telematics tracking and inward- and outward-facing safety cameras (no audio recording).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples, including air, soil, water, and related media.
• Perform field services using standard environmental support practices, including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations, including instruments, supplies, kits, materials, documentation, and safety equipment.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately and timely.
• Assist with research and recommendations to resolve operational, customer, or employee issues.
• Support the review and implementation of field/environmental programs to meet operational and organizational needs.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; elevate issues when needed.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions for improvements.
