Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Entry Level Field Technician I for the York, PA area. You will perform various testing tasks, observe site activities, and document results under supervision while utilizing drawings and specifications. This role supports the A/E/C industry and offers growth opportunities.

You will travel up to 15% and may work off-shift; a high school diploma is required, with construction experience and ACI certification preferred. Intertek values safety and diversity in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Lift/move 30–50 pounds frequently; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.

• Climb occasionally, at various heights.

• 6 months of construction-related experience.

The Entry Level Field Technician I is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

What you’ll do:

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, asphalt, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results
