Job summary

Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. is seeking a full-time Grave/Dutchman helper to perform outdoor work including closing and lowering burial vaults, prep, loading and transporting vaults, and setting vaults at gravesites. You will assist with graveside services and maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, physical fitness to lift 80 lbs, and flexibility for weekends and overtime. Experience with backhoes is preferred but training is available.

Qualifications

• Valid Class driver’s license with limited infractions.
• Knowledge of backhoe preferred but training available.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and flexible with schedule.

Responsibilities

• Closing and lowering vault after service.
• Prep concrete burial vaults as ordered.
• Load, transport and unload burial vaults in company vehicle.
• Install vault into the grave.
• Prepare graveside service (chairs, artificial grass).
• Maintain vehicle and equipment, logs, and work areas.
