Job summary

Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. is hiring for a position delivering and installing concrete burial vaults. You will provide customer service on-site, work outdoors, and support families with a respectful burial experience. Training is provided, and hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED, clean driving record, and ability to lift 80 lbs. The role requires self-motivation, teamwork, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check.
• Must obtain a medical card and pass drug screens.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and load burial vaults as ordered.
• Transport and install vaults at gravesites.
• Set up graveside tents and seating as required.
• Assist with grave closure and maintenance activities.
• Maintain records and vehicle/equipment upkeep.
• Provide respectful and dignified burial presentations.

The primary focus is to ensure a respectful and flawless burial experience for families who have recently lost a loved one. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:· Preparing concrete burial vaults according to orders.· Loading, transporting, and unloading burial vaults using the company vehicle.· Installing vaults into graves.· Closing and lowering vaults after the service may involve assisting the gravedigger in shoveling· dirt to close the grave in some cases.· Assembling and disassembling graveside tents.· Preparing graveside services by arranging folding chairs, chair covers, and artificial grass.· Maintaining daily reports, including pre-trip and post-trip logs.· Following a maintenance schedule for the vehicle and equipment.· Keeping the delivery truck, warehouse, and shop clean and organized.· Performing all work functions in a timely, correct, and safe manner.· Providing a safe, clean, respectful, and dignified burial presentation for the family and guests at· the gravesite.· Communicating any service-related exceptions or issues to the plant manager immediately.Education:· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalentSkills:• Proficient in driving vehicles with manual transmission.• Capable of covering a large travel area as needed.• Proficiency in operating a backhoe.• Competence in reading maps and understanding directions.• Be self-motivated and self-monitored with little supervision needed• Maintain a clean and respectful personal appearance, wearing a clean uniform when required• Must be a team player Customer service oriented• Excellent organizational and communication skills• Demonstrate leadership skillsRequirements:• Must pass MVR check• Must have a valid driver's license• Must obtain a medical card• Ability to successfully pass the new hire drug test and random drug screens.Physical Requirements:• Detail oriented Full body movement, use of all senses, able to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.• Must be able to lift, stand, bend, stoop, twist, turn, kneel, and squat for short period of time.• The job will be working outdoors and being exposed to all types of weather conditionsFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We’re an equal opportunity employer.
