Responsibilities

• Load, unload, stage, connect, and set up pumps, filtration units, hoses, and field instruments.
• Assist senior technicians with connecting equipment to water piping and cooling loops.
• Monitor pumps, gauges, meters, and filtration equipment; report abnormal readings.
• Operate and replace filter bags and cartridges; monitor filtration performance.
• Collect water samples and assist with basic field water-quality testing.
• Maintain tools and equipment; assist with site cleanup and demobilization.
• Complete checklists and field paperwork accurately; participate in safety training.

FIELD TECHNICIAN I

About the Role

Start a hands-on career supporting critical data center infrastructure. Clear Creek DCS is looking for a dependable, mechanically minded Field Technician I to help set up and operate temporary systems used to flush and clean facility water piping and technology cooling systems. You will work alongside experienced technicians, learn specialized field procedures, and build skills with a clear opportunity to grow into more advanced field roles. Previous flushing experience is not required.

Rate of Pay: $30.00/hr.

What You’ll Do

• Help load, unload, stage, connect, and set up pumps, filtration units, hoses, temporary piping, and field instruments.
• Assist senior technicians with connecting temporary equipment to facility water piping and cooling loop systems.
• Monitor pumps, gauges, flow meters, and filtration equipment, and promptly report unusual readings or operating conditions.
• Change filter bags and cartridges and help monitor filtration performance and differential pressure.
• Collect water samples at scheduled intervals and assist with basic field water-quality testing.
• Clean, inspect, organize, and maintain tools, hoses, fittings, and equipment; assist with demobilization and site cleanup.
• Complete equipment checklists, shift logs, and other field paperwork accurately.
• Participate in toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, and required safety training; follow company, client, and site-specific procedures.
• Learn flushing methods, piping systems, water-chemistry basics, and safe chemical-handling practices through on-the-job training.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work, vocational training, or hands-on activities such as automotive work, plumbing, agriculture, or construction.
• Basic computer skills for completing digital forms and field logs.
• Ability to complete required pre-employment screening and meet site access/badging requirements.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively - up to 100% - for project assignments that may last several weeks or months.

Nice to Have

• Experience in construction, mechanical trades, landscaping or irrigation, water treatment, or other hands-on work.
• OSHA 10 certification (training will be provided if needed).
• Experience operating a forklift, scissor lift, or similar equipment.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Work takes place at active data-center construction sites and operating mission-critical facilities.
• Assignments require extensive overnight travel; project stays may last several weeks to several months.
• Shifts are typically 10-12 hours and may include nights, weekends, and holidays to meet project schedules.
• Work may involve noise, dust, vibration, wet surfaces, temperature extremes, ladders and stairs, kneeling, and confined mechanical spaces.
• The role involves handling water-treatment and cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and company procedures.
• Required personal protective equipment may include a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and site- specific PPE.
• The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and components weighing up to 75 pounds.
