Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking a Field Technician to perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. The role includes supervising field crews, maintaining pipelines in compliance with contracts and safety regulations, coordinating with on-site contractors, and traveling between booster stations in the Greeley, CO area.

The Field Technician is responsible for operational, mechanical, and instrument\electrical functions, such as inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations. This work includes such activities as supervising/directing field crews, maintaining pipelines in compliance with contracts, regulations, and safety considerations, coordinating with on-site contractors, and ensuring cost effective and safe operations. Employee(s) in this position may have some environmental or safety activities associated with their responsibilities. The Field Technician will be working and traveling between the booster stations in the Greeley, CO area.

What You'll Do

• Conducts routine inspection of equipment and facilities (equipment health, security, AVO- Audio, Visual, Olfactory), operation of liquid handling systems, and operation of dehydration systems.
• Conducts pipeline pigging, hydrate management, etc.
• Responsible for Startup, Shutdown, and operating gas compression equipment.
• Maintains pipeline ROW such as markers, signs, and vegetation, exposures.
• Performs minor maintenance on rotating equipment (e.g., belts, hot valves, fans, etc.)
• Maintains records in accordance with Pipeline regulatory requirements.
• Conducts routine inspection, calibration and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter, flow computer).
• Performs maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment such as block valves, control valves, air compressors, manual valve actuators, etc.
• Performs maintenance and repair of and fixed equipment such as filters (all types), strainers, dehydration systems, etc.
• Conducts routine inspection, such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, etc.
• Operate PLC, HMI equipment, software, pipeline valves and actuators.
• Maintain and repair motor control equipment.
• Operation and maintenance of compression equipment and pumps.

What You'll Bring - Required

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High School Diploma or GED or greater
• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Willing and able to with or without reasonable accommodations:
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds.
• Regularly stoops, squats, kneels, and crouches for durations up to 30 minutes.
• Works safely near large, hot, high-speed machines.
• Work inside gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
• Work in loud environment
• To remain on-call, as needed
• To work shift schedule, including, but not limited to days, nights, weekend, holidays, rotating shift
• Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant.
• Occasionally may climb A-frame ladders.

What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred

• Completion of Tech school program
• Work experience in Pipeline maintenance or operation and natural gas compression
• 3 or more years of oil and gas operations experience

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $81,000 - $114,400.

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
