Phillips 66 is seeking a Facility Technician at Tremley Point to oversee dock, tank farm, pipeline, and truck operations with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and efficiency. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in oil and gas industry.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient operation of Tremley Point Terminal assets and pipelines.
  • Lead safety meetings and promote safety leadership across operations.
  • Ensure training compliance for operations personnel (OQs and CBTs).
  • Maintain environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with the scheduling team to prioritize changes per customer needs.
  • Ensure regulatory documentation and records for USCG, EPA, NJDEP, OSHA are complete and accurate.

As a Facility Technician, Tremley Point, you will play a key role in the safe, environmentally responsible, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the dock, tank farm, truck, and pipeline equipment. You will provide leadership, coordination, and technical oversight for terminal operations while supporting safety, security, compliance, and customer needs.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure efficient operation of the Tremley Point Terminal assets and multiple inbound and outbound pipelines.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership, lead safety meetings, and use safety programs to achieve desired results.
  • Promote environmental stewardship among terminal employees and contractors.
  • Ensure training and development needs of operations personnel are met, including OQs and CBTs.
  • Ensure compliance with facility security requirements, including MARSEC and USCG requirements.
  • Lead and participate in emergency response and spill response activities, including serving in assigned ICS roles.
  • Support US Coast Guard and TGLO routine operations and security inspections, and ensure drill and exercise regulatory requirements are met.
  • Monitor crude specifications and ensure measurement accuracy in accordance with the P66 measurement manual.
  • Understand and proactively respond to commercial, marine, and pipeline needs while prioritizing terminal pipeline and marine movements.
  • Communicate routinely with the scheduling team to prioritize changes based on customer needs.
  • Enforce P66 policies and procedures and review/update Site Specific Procedures as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with marine documentation requirements for vessel movements.
  • Use IMPACT to capture and manage incidents and audit findings.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from agencies including the US Coast Guard, EPA, NJDEP, and OSHA, and maintain associated records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of required facility paperwork, outage notifications, and SAP notifications for maintenance repairs.
What You’ll Bring – Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • 2 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following:
    • Transport articles up to 50 pounds.
    • Climb ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment; ladders and stairs typically range from 5 to 40 feet in height.
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
  • 5 or more years of experience in pipeline and/or terminal operations.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in a marine facility.
  • 1 or more years of experience in electronics and electrical equipment associated with pipeline and/or terminal operations.
  • Working knowledge of regulations applicable to pipeline and terminal operations, including OSHA, DOT, TRRC, 33CFR, 49CFR, and Title V Compliance.
  • Working knowledge of petroleum liquids measurement and pipeline operations at Phillips 66.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical maintenance as applied to petroleum pump stations and storage tank facilities.
Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $93,150.00 – $131,560.00.

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
