Job summary

Superior Environmental Solutions in Lafayette, IN is seeking a safety-focused Field Technician / General Labor to join our Midwest team. You will perform hands-on tasks with hydro-blasting and vac-truck equipment while upholding strict health and safety standards.

This role requires on-call availability, the ability to travel as needed, and a commitment to reliable work practices. SES offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for hands-on training.

Qualifications

• Must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be safety conscious and have a good work ethic.
• Must be able to work varied hours and travel as required.
• Ensure equipment and company property are maintained in proper condition.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment, random, and post-accident/injury substance abuse screening.
• Use of respirators may be required based on customer needs to meet project safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work with designated company representatives to learn and understand all safety, operational, and company rules, regulations, and responsibilities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist in the setup and tear down of the job site.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

• Use of respirators (including fit testing) may be required based on specific customer needs to meet project safety requirements.

Essential Physical Job Functions

• Follow and distinguish emergency signals and instructions.
• Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to repetitively lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
• Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold, dusty, and wet conditions for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and tight quarters.
• Be able to wear protective clothing and equipment such as respirators, safety glasses, approved steel-toe shoes, coveralls, and hearing protection.
• Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms at elevated heights.
• Must be capable of working extended hours and variable shifts.
