Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is hiring a Field Technician in Illinois. You will support environmental sampling and testing across air, soil, water, and related areas, traveling to sites and handling field operations and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to travel with possible overnight stays, and a valid driver’s license. Prior lab or environmental experience is preferred, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a laboratory or environmental setting is preferred.
• Must be able to travel with some overnight stays and operate a company vehicle with GPS/telematics (no audio recording).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples (air, soil, water, etc.).
• Perform field services including sample collection, test kit completion, and documentation of results.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials, and results as required.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations and ensure safety equipment is ready.
• Complete and maintain logs, forms, databases, and other documentation accurately.
• Support review and implementation of field/environmental programs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team effectiveness with improvement suggestions.
• Promote Pace Analytical’s mission through professional interactions.
