Job summary

Sphere 3 Environmental is seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our Gulf Coast team based in Longview, TX. You will collect environmental samples, document field activities, and support technical reporting for diverse public and private clients.

The role requires at least 2 years of field experience, strong writing skills, and the ability to travel regionally up to 75% while working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of field experience
• B.S. in environmental science, biology or closely related field preferred
• 1-2 years of wetland delineation experience preferred
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently and in a team
• Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Environmental sampling of soil, water, groundwater, and air
• Perform a wide variety of field duties for routine and emergency projects including inspection, maintenance, monitoring, and construction oversight
• Complete detailed field notes, photographs and field sketches; prepare daily field reports
• Collect samples in accordance with established procedures
• Maintain and operate field equipment/instrumentation per procedures
