Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, and temperature tests, and document results daily. You will verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge and learn to read site conditions.

We sponsor certifications and provide structured field training; pay ranges from $18 to $28 per hour, with overtime. Work sites span across multiple metro areas, including Texas dispatches and project deployments.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Outdoor work in varying climates; reliable and detail-focused.
• We sponsor ACI Field Grade I, nuclear gauge safety cert, NICET I/II.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare daily field reports tied to placement locations; maintain chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
