Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Supervisor in the Company’s Field Services organization to support FAA programs. The role supervises five remote Field Technicians across Kansas City and interfaces with the Kansas City ARTCC, NOCC, and dispatches. Will require travel and occasional after-hours work.

The position emphasizes training, resource management, and ensuring compliance with program policies while delivering high-quality customer service and technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
• Experience in Fiber, Multiplexes, Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications.
• Cable connectors and replacements including RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449.
• Power testing, AD and DC including 3 Phase AC.
• Operation of the 24VDC & 48 VDC power supplies.
• Network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications, DS3 Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell Core Standards.
• Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital O-scope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets.
• Microsoft or UNIX operating systems and the components of the MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and technical training and guidance to team members accountable for the implementation and maintenance of program services for large government networks and systems.
• Provide onsite training and support and ensure team members are following and implementing proper program and company policies, procedure, and protocol.
• Ensure team resources are allocated effectively and efficiently to support program operational needs.
• Assist in objective setting, skill enhancement, resolution of employee concerns, and performance review activities for team members.
• Proactively obtain customer feedback and provide support and guidance to teams to ensure timely and quality customer services and serve as an escalation point-of-contact for unresolved problems from the Help Desk or NOCC.
• Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance of personal computers, network equipment, and/or telecommunications equipment, and maintain records on repairs, down time, changes and updates.
• Work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs and respond to after-hours emergency calls.
• Travel (up to 100% at a time) to remote sites or outside assigned regions to assist with additional program or customer requests.
• Lift items up to 32lbs and use ladders and step stools to reach heights of approximately 10ft (3.04m).
• Obtain Public Trust Security Clearance and may be asked to obtain and maintain active DOD Secret Clearance.

Job Description

L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Supervisor in the Company’s Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role will directly supervise five (5) remote Field Technicians across Kansas City, CS Airspace and will be responsible for onsite support interfacing with the customer at the Kansas City Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZKC/ARTCC).
