Job summary

Gravity Power & Rental is seeking a Field Technician 1 to deliver and set up rental equipment at customer locations in the Pecos, TX area. You will perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on site, operate company vehicles, and adhere to safety policies.

The role requires basic mechanical knowledge, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds. Strong communication and reliability are essential for on-call duties and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED equivalent is required; some college preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and insurable under company policy.
  • Requires basic mechanical knowledge and experience.
  • Must be able to drive long distances/periods in company vehicle.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Understanding of basic maintenance concepts to perform light to moderate repairs.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English as instructions are given in English.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers, sets up, swaps, and fuels equipment on customer locations.
  • Operates company vehicles pulling trailers and equipment following safety procedures.
  • Completes starting and charging repairs on ICE powered equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment.
  • Uses electrical tools and safety devices in accordance with policy and safety rules.
  • Completes required monthly safety and equipment trainings and on-call communications.
  • Responds to any other duty assigned by supervisor.

Description

The Field Technician 1 provides delivery and setup of the Company’s rental equipment to customer locations. Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment in the field in a safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Works with ethics, honesty, values, and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
  • Delivers, sets up, swaps, and fuels equipment on customer locations.
  • Operates Company vehicles pulling trailers and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
  • Completes starting and charging repairs on ICE (internal combustible engine) powered equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and service on equipment.
  • Uses all electrical tools, safety devices, and equipment in accordance with policy and safety procedures.
  • Follows procedures to complete Short Service Employee requirements.
  • Completes all required monthly safety and equipment-related trainings.
  • Answers Company-issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with Company and safety policies.
  • Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.

Experience
