Job summary

Jobtailor in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Field Gas Leak Technician to detect natural gas leaks, navigate incidents after training, and protect the community.

Qualifications

Job description

• Detect natural gas leaks to protect the community and prevent harm


• Navigate natural gas incidents and implement proper solutions using provided training


• Use safety equipment and technology to accurately detect gas leaks and analyze data


• Work independently after training while managing time and solving problems


• Provide professional and responsive customer service to clients


• Accurately communicate findings and relevant information


• Work outdoors, typically walking more than five miles per day


• Perform field gas utility surveys from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High School Diploma OR GED


• Valid, unexpired driver’s license


• Personal vehicle for daily work use


• Ability to work outdoors and walk several miles per day


• Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and carry up to 20 lbs. of equipment
