Job summary

Insight Global in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking an entry-level Field Technician I to gain basic knowledge of OM&M of environmental control systems and health and safety requirements. You will report to a senior supervisor and start building a solid foundation for your career.

This role requires no prior experience, though background in mechanical, construction, environmental, or solid waste fields is a plus.

Qualifications

• No experience required; preferred experience in mechanical, construction, environmental, or solid waste.
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER Course preferred (training provided if not current).
• Basic knowledge of smartphones, tablets, and Microsoft Office programs (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
• A valid driver's license with driving record in good standing is required.
• Must meet physical requirements and pass a human performance evaluation (HPE).
• Physical tasks include driving a pickup, walking inspections, lifting up to 50 lbs, digging, carrying, ladders, manlifts, and power tools usage.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation, maintenance, and monitoring of environmental control systems.
• Report to a senior supervisor (Project Superintendent or Project Manager).
• Base location at a site in Murfreesboro and perform basic field tasks as directed.

Job description

As an (entry-level) Field Technician I, you will gain basic knowledge of the terminology, processes, and equipment used in the operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M) of various environmental control systems, while gaining basic knowledge of health and safety requirements. Your tasks will be straightforward, providing a solid foundation for your career growth. You will report to a senior-level supervisor, such as a Project Superintendent or a Project Manager. You will be based at a site in Murfreesboro.

Qualifications

• No experience is required; however, it is preferred that you have experience in one of the following fields: mechanical, construction, environmental, or solid waste.
• Expected to possess or be willing to complete a 40-Hour HAZWOPER Course, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 preferred (training will be provided if not current).
• Basic knowledge in the use of various computer/technology skills including Smartphones, Tablets, and Microsoft Office Programs (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).
• A valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing is required.
• Must meet physical requirements and pass a human performance evaluation (HPE).
• Physical requirements include driving (pick-up truck), walking inspection of improved and unimproved property, lifting, and carrying equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), hand excavation/digging (using shovels/picks), carrying, and climbing ladders, operating manlifts and working from manlifts, operating electric tools (drills, saws, etc.), using hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.) and providing services under varying
