Job summary

Lime is hiring In-Field Mechanics to maintain our fleet of shared vehicles. This role suits mechanically inclined operations professionals seeking to grow their career in a dynamic, on-site environment.

You will perform maintenance, safety checks, and battery documentation while maximizing fleet availability and supporting on-ground deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles in the local market.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record.
• Experience in vehicle maintenance or similar roles preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational compliance of fleet and quality checks for deployment.
• Perform basic maintenance in and out of warehouse.
• Follow safety procedures to keep Lime riders on safe vehicles.
• Support battery management with accurate documentation and checks.
• Maximize operational vehicles by completing tasks efficiently.
• Safely operate pallet jack or push cart regularly.
• Identify issues and perform small repairs in the field.
• Occasionally assist customers in field with Lime vehicles.
• Safely operate a van for deployment/retrieval of vehicles.
• Conduct patrols to ensure vehicle parking tidy and compliant.
• Report uncommon on-ground service or product situations.

We are looking for In-Field Mechanics to maintain our fleet of shared vehicles. This role is ideal for mechanically-inclined operations professionals that want to broaden and build their career experiences.

What you'll do:

• Ensure operational compliance of fleet and complete quality checks for deployment

• Perform basic maintenance in and out of warehouse

• Follow established safety procedures to ensure Lime riders are on the safest vehicles

• Support battery management operations by ensuring accurate documentation and quality checks are completed

• Maintain and abide by safety and hygiene standards

• Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing tasks assigned

• Safely operate a pallet jack or push cart on a frequent basis

• Identify issues and perform small repairs in the field on vehicles including but not limited to brake adjustments, tire inflation, and vehicle cleaning to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition when needed

• May manage parts inventories including PAR levels and demand forecast

• Monitor designated zones by conducting on-foot patrols of the local area to ensure vehicle parking compliance and tidiness in accordance with city requests

• Detect and report uncommon situations related to on the ground service and product

• Occasionally assist customers in field by providing support related to Lime vehicles

• Safely operate a van to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed

• Safely operate a bike, cargo bike or e-scooters to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed

• Additional job related tasks as assigned

About you:

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record

• Previous experience in a similar role involving vehicle maintenance preferred

• Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis required

• Knowledge of cell phone applications. iOS experience preferred

• Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends

• Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs

• Self-motivated with and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks

• A safety-oriented mindset, capable of conducting rigorous quality checks

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with team members Adaptability to work outdoors and indoors in line with company needs and objectives

• Ability to safely ride a bike and other Lime vehicles
