Job summary

Mariani Enterprises LLC seeks a Landscape Technician to restore and steward natural areas across our Midwest network. You will remove invasive plants, mix and apply herbicide, and assist with prescribed restoration activities while following crew instructions.

The role requires a valid state pesticide license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort working outdoors in varying conditions. Training and safety are emphasized, with excellent pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Illinois or Wisconsin Applicator pesticide license.
• Demonstrate basic plant recognition and horticultural knowledge.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50 lbs.).
• Ability to work outside in various conditions.
• Some natural areas restoration experience.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and readiness for hands-on training.
• Chainsaw operation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Physically remove invasive plants to allow native plants to flourish.
• Mix and apply herbicide according to label instructions.
• Haul and load plant refuse and clean up job sites.
• Follow instructions from production coordinator or crew leader.
• Maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Participate in required training on equipment, safety, and procedures.
